Update 1.0.6K: Survival Combat Improvements, Stability/Bugfixing, and more.

Update 1.0.6K.1

This update focuses on making survival combat much more fluid, enjoyable, and stable. Fixing key frustration-points like long rounds, easy rounds, stuck demons, or invisible demons. It also fixes some potential issues during higher rounds, like glitching audio, double loot, and weapon memory leaks. These were noticed because higher rounds are now very possible to reach with the new stability fixes! This update also adds improved visuals/graphics/AI to the Residential Transport Zone, and fixes many issues with the Shotgun. This sets a very stable foundation for future combat plans! There will be many more small but important changes which dramatically boost gameplay in these areas coming soon. Player/Companion animation, Global Audio Limits, 'Bio' Lighting, and Player Damage, has all had some improvements too.

This has also been a good chance to finish all the Steamworks Store/Library Images, and prepare to finalise the Reveal Trailer. All to be public very soon! Q1-Q2 2026 is my estimated deadline for the 'Coming Soon' page on Steam.

  • Shotgun Item Thumbnail has been fixed and rotated.

  • Shotgun Smoke has been removed due to the Intensity.

  • Player weapon damage has been multiplied by 1.5.

  • Survival Spawners are now more reliable between rounds.

  • Survival Spawners are now slightly more performant.

  • Invisible Demons have less then 5-6s before auto-death.

  • Each Demon Survival Spawn have a 20% change to double.

  • Contamination Zone now correctly reduces spawns.

  • Transport Zone now correctly increases spawns.

  • HDFC Pistol mag size has been increased slightly.

  • All 3 Bio-Zone terrain enviroments are now slightly brighter.

  • Companion animations also synced to above.

  • Doors going deeper into a sub-floor will no longer teleport when late.

  • Young Nyxandria Flashback softlock near mirror has been fixed.

  • Survival Spawners now auto-kill far away (15m units) demons.

  • Survival Spawners now auto-kill demons older then 3 minutes.

  • Unequipping weapon memory leak has been resolved.

  • Shotgun has a less dark material, it reacts better to light.

  • Shotgun fire sound has been slightly tweaked.

  • Shotgun should now (mostly) be an instant kill.

  • Global Audio Limit increased to 128, from 32.

  • Maximum spawns per sub-round increased from 33 to 55.

  • Maximum spawns per round increased from 100 to 200.

  • Transport Zone AI navigation issues have been fixed.

  • Common demons types play the majority of sounds.

  • Common demons types do a distance check for sounds.

  • Common demons types are 20% more likely for sounds.

  • Debug button added to pause menu to start demon boss.

  • Music selection cleaned up and tweaked slightly.

  • Survival Spawners have 'Attempt Provoke' hotkey/UI to force new wave.

  • Attempt to block 'Tab' from opening the Tablet when 'Alt' is held*.

  • Attempt to block inputs during post-jumpscare transitions*

  • This is due to Alt-Tab during load screens/transitions breaking Player State.

  • True 1PP Animating is now auto-disabled during every level load finalisation.

  • Demon voice method has been optimised/simplified slightly.
