Layered Consciousness Level System: Feature Overview

Sub-Layered Dreams (Sleeping)
The dream system adds a sub‑layered experience to break up the normal gameplay loop. After the player wakes, explores, fights enemies, loots, returns, and finally sleeps, the game shifts into Elysia, a darker, surreal horror space that pushes far beyond the feel of a standard survival shooter. When dreaming, both the player and the environment swap simultaneously, all while the base world continues to exist underneath.
The structure runs across multiple persistent layers: the main player and world, then the dream player and dream environment stacked on top. Dreams can spiral into hallucinations, pulling the player even deeper through these layers. There are no loading screens, everything transitions through concealed animations and disguised swaps, keeping the shift seamless and unsettling.

Hallucinations and Flashbacks
Hallucinations load dynamically as the player explores the base world. When triggered, they quietly stream in the background and then snap the player into the hallucination layer within a second, an awake‑state counterpart to the dream system. These sequences let the player visit far more elysian locations than the sleep cycle does, branching into non linear paths and revealing multiple mini‑stories.

Realtime Soul Experiences
Realtime Soul Experiences work by instantly swapping the camera into self contained rooms placed just off the main level, without moving the player or loading anything new. This creates a sharp, immediate effect, perfect for linear moments like the intro. These sequences often drop the player into the final moments of other characters, letting them witness how those stories connect back to Elysia Sector. It’s a unique twist that breaks up linear stretches and adds another layer of narrative depth between dreams and hallucinations.
